2017 (Senior): Appeared in 27 matches as a defensive specialist…posted four double-digit dig matches, including a career-high 11 digs against UC Riverside (10/20/17)…also posted a career-high three assists vs. UC Riverside…recorded a career-high three service aces against Northern Arizona (9/15)...for the season, tallied career-highs of 118 digs and 13 assists.
2016 (Junior): Appeared in 27 matches and 72 sets with one start against Wisconsin (Aug. 26)…tallied 34 total digs, three assists and two service aces on the season…recorded a career-high 10 digs vs. Wisconsin (Aug. 26)…posted service aces against Cal State Fullerton (Sept. 30) and at Long Beach State (Oct. 8)…became just the fifth Rainbow Wahine to earn
CoSIDA Academic All-District honors as a biology major in UH’s honors program…also earned all-Big West Scholar-Athlete honors and was the team’s top scholar-athlete.
2015 (Sophomore): Played in all 31 matches with 86 sets played…appeared as the libero against Eastern Washington (Sept. 12) and recorded a career-high nine digs against the Eagles…notched a career-high two service aces in three matches—EWU, CSU Bakersfield (Sept. 20) and TCU (Dec. 4) in first round of the NCAA Tournament in College Station, Texas…also against the Horned Frogs, she tallied a career-high 23 serves in a match…finished the season with 10 assists and 63 digs.
2014 (Freshman): Saw action in 22 matches as a libero and defensive specialist…logged one service ace against UC Riverside (11/28) and three digs at UC Santa Barbara (11/21)…posted 12 digs on the season…saw action in UH’s first round NCAA Tournament win over Duke (12/5)
Prep: A 2014 graduate of Punahou School in Honolulu, O‘ahu...lettered two seasons in volleyball...earned league honors in 2013...team won league and state title in 2012...earned all-league honorable mention honors in 2013...academically earned several recognition awards in chemistry honors, lifetime fitness, and French 4 honors...made the Dean's List and graduated with honors...was a student volunteer at the Hawai‘i Nature Center.
Personal: Born in Honolulu, O‘ahu...grew up on the island of Moloka‘i until she was nine years old...played for ‘Imi ‘Ike Volleyball Club for four years...is a member of the UH Honors Program aiming towards a bachelor of science in biology...parents are Jay and Janet Anderson of Honolulu, O‘ahu...father Jay played volleyball at Pepperdine from 1976-79 where helped the Waves to win the national championship in 1978...he went on to play on the U.S. national team and also professionally for eight years in Italy and Switzaerland.
