2017 (Senior): Selected by the Chicago Cubs with the 30th pick in the 18th round (555th overall) in the 2017 MLB Draft…earned All-Big West honorable mention…made 18 appearances, all in relief…went 3-0 with a 1.52 ERA, logging 21 strikeouts to just five walks in 23.2 innings…also recorded two saves and held opponents to a .188 batting average…did not allow a run over his final 15.2 innings pitched, while not giving up an earned run over his last 16.2 innings…picked up his first career save against Sacred Heart (March 12), pitching a perfect ninth inning with two strikeouts to secure a one-run victory…got first career win pitching 0.2 scoreless innings versus Indiana (March 18)…tossed a career-long 3.2 innings at CSUN (April 29), striking out four to pick up the save…threw 2.2 shutout innings against Cal State Fullerton with one strikeout…picked up the win in each of the final two games of the season pitching a scoreless inning with UC Santa Barbara on May 26 and 2.2 hitless innings on May 27...named to the Big West All-Academic Team.
2016 (Junior): Made eight appearances on the mound, along with one start as the designated hitter…pitched 7.1 innings with a record of 0-1 and an ERA of 4.91…went 1.1 innings in first career appearance, striking out two at UH-Hilo (Feb. 13)…also went 2-for-5 at the plate with one RBI.
Prior to UH: Played two seasons at LA Pierce College in Los Angeles, Calif…earned second-team all-Western State (North) Conference honors during both seasons…during his sophomore season, batted .303, leading the team with nine doubles, also logging 18 RBI and 20 runs…pitched 2.1 innings for the Brahmas, earning a 1-0 record and 0.00 ERA…as a freshman, he batted .303 with 10 RBI and 13 runs, pitching 10.2 innings of relief across four appearances with a 5.06 ERA and 0-0 record…named as an Academic All American…as a freshman, he played alongside 2016 UH teammate Alex Sawelson.
Prep: A 2012 graduate of Westlake High School in Westlake Village, Calif, where he was a two-year letterman in baseball…as a senior, batted .295 with eight RBI and six runs, posting a .436 on-base percentage…also pitched in four outings, logging a 2.69 ERA and 0-2 record…aided his team to a 2011 Marmonte League championship during his junior year.
