Biography

2012 Sand (Freshman): Recorded a 6-5 overall record…went 2-3 in tournament action…appeared in one dual match, partnering with Kristina Kam for a straight set win over Loyola Marymount’s Ellie Selleck and Diana Hiramoto at the No. 5 flight during the US Volleyball Beach Collegiate Challenge (April 14)…played five of her nine matches with Kaela Goodman, going 2-3…along with Goodman, advanced to the semifinals of program’s inaugural sand volleyball pairs tournament, falling to teammates and eventual champions Elizabeth Stoltzman and Emily Hartong (March 17).

2011 Indoor: Redshirted.

Prep: Graduated from Hawaii Baptist Academy in Honolulu...lettered in volleyball for three seasons under Coach Myles Shioji and in paddling for one season under Coach David Ahia...was a two-time first team all-state selection (2009 and 2010)...was also selected second team all-state in 2008...her team won the ILH and state title in 2008 and 2009...came to UH for the opportunity to play collegiately at home in front of family and friends.

Club: Played five seasons for the Asics Rainbows...team won the Under-14 Junior Olympic Championship

Personal: Born in Honolulu, Hawai'i...has one sister, Jenna (21)...parents are Robert and Lisa Kawamura.
