IRVINE, Calif. – The heptathlon duo of
Maya Holman and
Catherine Touchette will get the Big West Championship underway for the Hawai'i track and field team at the conference multis championship Friday and Saturday.
The action gets underway at 9:15 a.m. HT Friday and 9:30 a.m. HT Saturday. The first three events of the heptathlon (100m hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200m) will be contested Friday, followed by the final three on Saturday (long jump, javelin, 800m).
Following the multis weekend, the full squad of Rainbow Wahine will join Holman and Touchette in Irvine for the Big West Championship, May 14-15.

Touchette heads into the weekend fourth in the Big West in the heptathlon with a point total of 5,277, put up at the Mt. SAC Relays in April. She turned a career-best performance in last year's Big West heptathlon, coming in third with 5,496 points to move into second all-time at UH.
Holman is currently 10th in the conference in the heptathlon following her 4,776-point performance at the Mt. SAC Relays. She is currently ninth all-time at UH in the heptathlon. Holman has not competed at the Big West Multis Championship the last two years, but came in fifth with 4,928 points in 2023 while competing for Cal Poly.
