WALNUT, Calif. – Catherine Touchette and Maya Holman finished action in the heptathlon at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays Thursday at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
 
Touchette totaled 5,277 points in the two-day event while Holman finished with 4,776 to move into eighth all-time at UH in the heptathlon. The two competed against an elite field that included Olympians and a number of high-level athletes who have experience in major international competitions.
 
Heading into the weekend, Touchette's point total puts her in fourth in the Big West while Holman's mark is ninth-best in the conference this year.
 
Touchette capped off the meet by breaking the UH heptathlon 800m record with a time of 2:09.81 to finish third in the field in that event. Holman's best performance of the meet came in the javelin, throwing 38.11m to finish fifth in the field in the event.
 
The full squad of Rainbow Wahine will be in action starting Friday at the Bryan Clay Invitational, hosted by Azusa Pacific University.
