LA JOLLA, Calif. — The fifth-ranked University of Hawai'i women's water polo team hits the road for the Triton Invitational from Friday, Jan. 30 to Sunday, Feb. 1 at the Canyonview Aquatic Center and Triton Pool in La Jolla, Calif.
UH is slotted in Bracket C and begins the weekend against Concordia on Friday, Jan. 30 at 8:40 a.m. HT at the Triton Pool. On Saturday, the Rainbow Wahine will face either No. 11 UC Irvine or No. 19 UC Santa Barbara based on the results of Friday's games, followed by another match later in the afternoon. UH plays its final match of the tournament on Sunday, with its opponent and time determined by the outcomes of Saturday's games.

OPENING SPRINT
- UH opens the Triton Invitational on Friday, Jan. 30 with a match with Concordia.
- UH will face either No. 11 UC Irvine or No. 19 UC Santa Barbara based on the results of Friday's matchups.
- UH is 12-4 all-time at the Triton Invitational, posting a 3-1 record in each trip from 2022-25.
- UH went 3-1 in last season's Triton Invitational with wins against Cal State Fullerton (19-4), Fresno State (11-10) and UC Irvine (18-17), and a loss to USC (17-9).
- UH moved to No. 5 in the Collegiate Water Polo Association poll after going 2-1 to open the season at the Fresno State Polopalooza. The 'Bows remained fifth in this week's poll following a bye week.
- Sophomore Ema Vernoux leads the 'Bows with eight goals and is tied with senior Roni Perlman (five goals, six assists) for the team lead with 11 points.
- Junior goalkeeper Daisy Logtens made 18 saves over 80 minutes in the season's opening weekend.
- Sophomore Agatha Weston provided a spark on both ends of the pool in the Polopalooza with seven goals and eight steals and earned the season's first Big West Player of the Week award (Jan. 21).
