2025 Women's Track & Field Season In Review

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

  • Placed fourth at both the MPSF Indoor Championships and Big West Outdoor Championships.
  • Fourth consecutive year that the Rainbow Wahine have placed in the top four of both the MPSF and Big West Championships.
  • Four athletes qualified for the NCAA First Round – the most the program has sent to the NCAA postseason since 2016.
  • Set a total of eight new program records between indoor and outdoor seasons (5 indoor, 3 outdoor).
  • Posted 58 new program top 10 marks across the two seasons (33 indoor, 25 outdoor).
  • Lilian Turban took home two individual conference titles at the Big West Outdoor Championships and was named field athlete of the meet.
  • Claimed three individual titles at the MPSF Indoor Championships (Turban – high jump, Tara Wyllie – triple jump, Helen Hoadley – pole vault).

NCAA FIRST ROUNDERS

NCAA T&F Regional Qualifiers

The Rainbow Wahine sent Lilian Turban (high jump and javelin), Lucy Milliner (800m), Tara Wyllie (triple jump) and Helen Hoadley (pole vault) to College Station, Texas to compete in the NCAA First Round.

BIG WEST CHAMPIONSHIP HONORS

Lilian Turban was named the Big West Championship Field Athlete of the Meet after securing gold in the high jump and the javelin.

RECORDS ON REPEAT

Isabella Kneeshaw kicked off the indoor season with a 1:32 600m, good for a school record at the first meet.

Freshman Lucy Milliner captured three school records, setting program-best marks outdoors in the 800m and 1500m and indoors in the mile.

Helen Hoadley set school records in the pole vault both indoors and outdoors, clearing 4.20m during outdoor season and 4.13m indoors.

Maya Holman shattered the indoor long jump record with a 6.12m jump during her pentathlon performance at the MPSF Championships.

Tara Wyllie won the MPSF triple jump title while also securing the indoor school record with a 12.66m jump.
