AZUSA, Calif. – A trio of program top 10 performances by the distance crew and throwers highlighted day two of action Thursday for the Hawai'i track and field team at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Freshman
Elise Drake posted a PR and moved up the UH top 10 in the hammer throw for the third straight meet to start outdoor season, throwing 55.22m (181-2) to jump up to seventh in school history. She finished fourth in the meet with a mark that would put her in fifth in the Big West heading into the week.
The Rainbow Wahine posted a pair of strong performances in the 800m, led by
Lucy Milliner's 2:07.96 – just 0.91 seconds off her personal best and second-fastest time in UH history.
Catherine Touchette vaulted up the school top 10 with a time of 2:08.31, topping her PR by over four seconds to move from 10th all the way up to fourth in program history.
Samaria Vital completed a solid day for the Hawai'i throwers, finishing runner-up in the discus with a toss of 47.74m (156-7), coming just 0.03m away from matching her personal best and eighth-best mark in program history.
