HONOLULU — The University of Hawai'i water polo team, ranked third and fourth in the national polls, will take a break from Big West play to face No. 25 Pacific in a nonconference match on Saturday, March 22 at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
The Rainbow Wahine enter the second week of their homestand riding a four-match winning streak, and are coming off a thrilling 9-8 overtime win over No. 6 Long Beach State on March 15 at the DKAC.

OPENING SPRINT
- UH has won all 30 meetings with Pacific in a series dating back to 1998. The Rainbow Wahine will host the Tigers at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex for the first time since March 14, 2007, an 18-11 UH victory.
- The Rainbow Wahine remained at No. 3 in the Collegiate Water Polo Association poll for a fourth consecutive week and No. 4 in the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches poll.
- Bernadette Doyle was named the Big West Player of the Week for the second time in her career after completing a hat trick by scoring UH's first golden goal since 2023 in last week's win over Long Beach State. The senior scored the deciding goal 25 seconds into the sudden-death overtime period. She has scored at least three goals in eight matches this season and has a total of 34 goals this season.
- Doyle leads the team with 29 steals, followed by sister, freshman Gabrielle Doyle, with 21 steals.
- Freshman Ema Vernoux leads the team and is tied for third in the Big West with 53 goals. She also had a hat trick against Long Beach State in her 12th match with at least three goals.
- Sophomore goalie Daisy Logtens holds a league-high .471 save percentage and ranks fourth in the conference with 121 saves.
- UH associate head coach Candice Vorbeck served as Pacific's head coach last season. She led the Tigers to a 16-11 season, including a 4-3 mark in the Golden Coast Conference.
- Pacific attacker Dora Alaksza leads the Tigers and ranks second in the Golden Coast Conference with 69 goals.
