HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team will be in action this weekend, hosting the Mānoa Fall Classic from Friday, Oct. 10 - Sunday, Oct. 12. Competing against the Rainbow Warriors in the three-day tournament will be Hawai'i Pacific and UC San Diego. All matches will be played at the UH Tennis Complex.

On Friday, the teams will compete in a round of singles and a round of doubles. On Saturday, there will only be two rounds of doubles due to the UH football game later in the day. On Sunday, the Classic will end with a round each of singles and doubles.
The lone UH returnee in action this week will be sophomore
Tianhao Hou. Last season, Hou posted a 4-11 singles record playing on No. 4, 5, and 6 courts throughout the season. In doubles, he and
Azuma Visaya went 4-7 playing at the No. 1.
The Rainbow Warriors welcome in seven newcomers--four transfers and three true freshmen. The transfers include red-shirt senior
Timothy Li (Valley Village Calif.) who played his first three seasons at UCLA. He rejoins former Bruin teammate Visaya at Hawai'i.
Adriano Dzhenev (Haskovo, Bulgaria) is a sophomore transfer from UCF,
Ziwen Ju (Beijing, China) is also a sophomore transfer from Wichita State.
Kosuke Nakanishi (Hiroshima, Japan) rounds out the transfers coming to UH from Louisville. The freshmen are
Toa Maeda (Chiba, Japan),
Kent Mueller (Stuttgart, Germany), and
Hikaru Takahashi (Kanagawa, Japan). The Rainbow Warriors' nine players represent a total of five different countries (Bulgaria, China, Germany, Japan and the United States of America.
