Prior to UH:
  • Played two seasons at Louisville
  • Finished Cardinals' career with a 22-27 singles record and a 15-26 overall doubles record
  • In sophomore season, Nakanishi and partner Andre Steinbach recorded a couple of upsets, knocking off No. 13 Nate Bonetto and Gianluca Carlini (Georgia Tech) and 71st-ranked Andreja Petrovic and Cooper Williams (Duke)

  • Achieved an International Tennis Federation Junior Ranking of 750 in the fall of 2022
  • Defeated 46th-ranked tennis player in the world in the JA Osaka Mayor’s Cup to reach the round of 16 in 2022
