SAN DIEGO/HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team has a busy week ahead. Senior
Azuma Visaya will head to San Diego to compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Conference Masters Championship in singles at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.. The rest of the Rainbow Warriors will be in Honolulu hosting Air Force, Hawai'i Hilo, and Hawai'i Pacific in the Hawai'i Fall Invitational. The tourney will be played on Friday, Nov. 7 and Sunday, Nov. 9 at the UH Tennis Complex.

Visaya qualified for the ITA Conference Masters Championship by winning four-consecutive matches to capture the singles title of the Big West Fall Invite in October. Visaya, who is currently ranked No. 65, enters the week with a 5-3 overall record this Fall. He is one of 30 conference winners to be competing in the tourney. The players who advance to the semifinals round will automatically qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship later this month in Orlando, Fla..

Kent Mueller lead the 'Bows into the tourney with four singles wins apiece. Li enters with a 4-6 Fall record while Mueller is 4-5 coming into the week, while
Kosuke Nakanishi has a 3-4 fall mark. In doubles Li and Mueller enter with a team-best 3-1 fall record, while the combination of Nakanishi and Mueller are 2-2 together.
Hawai'i's matches will be starting at 1:00 p.m. HT on Friday and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. All matches will be played at the UH Tennis Complex. Each day of competition will be comprised of one round of doubles (one 6-game set) and a round of singles (best two out of three).
