KĀ'ANAPALI, Maui – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team is tied for eighth place after the first round of the Kā'anapali Classic by OUTRIGGER, Monday at the Royal Kā'anapali Course.
The Rainbow Warriors, who carded an 8-under 276, were led by Maui natives
Anson Cabello and
Chris Salem. Cabello was UH's top finisher at 4-under 67 and is tied for 10
th while Salem shot 3-under 68 and is tied for 24
th.
Oklahoma leads the team standings at 21-under 262 followed by TCU (267), North Florida (272), Boise State (273), and Georgia (273). Individually, Oklahoma's Jase Summy is atop the leaderboard at 9-under 62 followed by teammate Ryder Cowan at 7-under 64.
