Mohr Achieves All-America Status at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Hallee Mohr capped off her incredible outdoor season by finishing in 11th place nationally to earn second-team All-America status with her performance in the discus Saturday at the NCAA Championships.

Mohr represented the Hawai'i track and field team at Hayward Field with a mark of 55.46m (181-11) to become just the fourth Rainbow Wahine discus thrower to earn All-America recognition. The senior posted her best throw of the day on her second attempt and finished just two spots out of the finals.

The Raymond, Wash., native adds All-America honors to an already long list of achievements this season. Mohr set the school record in the discus at the Big West Championships with a toss of 58.25m (191-1) to go on to earn her second career conference title in the event. She then went on to become the first UH discus thrower since 2012 to qualify for the NCAA Championships and first thrower overall to reach the finals since 2015 with a fifth-place finish and toss of 58.02m at the NCAA West Regionals.

It's the second consecutive year that a Rainbow Wahine athlete has earned All-America status after Lilian Turban finished fourth in the high jump at last year's NCAA Championships. Mohr is the 16th UH athlete to achieve All-America status – indoors or outdoors.
