Mohr advanced to the NCAA Championships for the first time in her career following a fifth-place finish at the NCAA West Regional. She turned in a series of 54.70m, 56.35m and 58.02m to become the first UH athlete to qualify for the championship round in the discus since 2012.
Â
The Raymond, Wash., native already holds the school record in the event after throwing 58.25m to take home the Big West title in May. Mohr heads into the NCAA Championships after posting the ninth-best mark across the two regional sites during the preliminary rounds. She also owns the No. 18 mark overall nationally this season.
Â
The top nine athletes following the first three throws will advance to the finals. Athletes can earn USTFCCCA All-America status by finishing in the top 16, with the top eight earning first-team honors and places nine through 16 receiving second-team recognition.
