FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Hallee Mohr punched her ticket to the NCAA Championships with another phenomenal performance in the discus Saturday at the NCAA West Regional, placing fifth in the meet to advance.
Mohr turned in a series of 54.70m, 56.35m and 58.02m to become the first Rainbow Wahine discus thrower to move on to the national title meet since 2012. The senior followed up her school-record breaking performance at the Big West title meet by throwing over 58.00m for the second time in her career, coming just .23m shy of the record she set her last time out.
Tara Wyllie posted a mark of 12.48m (40-11.5) in her first career NCAA postseason appearance in the triple jump. The sophomore posted the mark on her third attempt.
Mohr will head to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., June 5-8.
