CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Hawai'i women's track & field team closed out the regular season with another solid weekend of top 10s and conference leading marks at the Oregon State High Performance Meet.
The Rainbow Wahine throwers led the way in Corvallis, highlighted by
Hallee Mohr extending her Big West lead in the discus. The senior improved upon her No. 2 mark in program history with a toss of 56.25m (184-6) to win the event and stretch her conference lead out to nearly 5.00m. Mohr is also 28th nationally and 18th in the West Region in the event.
Samaria Vital also turned in a career performance in the discus, moving into the No. 8 spot on the UH top 10 list with a throw of 47.77m (156-8). Vital also sits in fourth place in the Big West in the event while also posting a PR in the shot put with a toss of 13.63m (44-8.75) over the weekend.
Isabella Kneeshaw led the UH sprinters by delivering a career best in the 100m, running a 12.06 to improve on her No. 9 time in school history. Kneeshaw also ran the second leg of a 4x400m relay team that also included
Kristin Cook,
Alyssa Mae Antolin and
Amy Warrington that ran a 3:46.45 to claim the No. 5 spot on the UH top 10 list.
The Rainbow Wahine will now turn their attention to the postseason, starting with the Big West Multis Championship Friday and Saturday in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
