Senior Alyssa Mae Antolin earned MPSF Athlete of the Week honors for the first time in her career Tuesday after turning in a strong weekend of competition at the UW Invite.
 
Antolin blew away the rest of the field in the 200m dash on Friday, running an MPSF-leading time of 24.19 to win by .54 seconds. Her time is also .09 seconds clear of the next fastest time in the conference so far this season.
 
On Saturday, the senior started off the day as the top qualifier for the 60m dash finals after running a 7.59 in the prelims. Antolin ended up finishing seventh in the finals but also sits in sixth in the MPSF in the event this season.
 
The Kīhei, Maui native has gotten the final year of her record-breaking career off to a solid start. Antolin also set a school record in the indoor 300m dash at the opening meet of the season in Spokane, running a 39.50 to mark the fastest time ever recorded by a Rainbow Wahine runner in the event.
 
Antolin owns four individual school records – indoor or outdoor – and was also a part of the UH-record holding indoor 4x400m relay squad. While this is her first career indoor weekly honor, she was the Big West Track Athlete of the Week outdoors once last season and was the 2022 Big West Co-Track Athlete of the Year.
