The Hawai'i women's track & field team got its 2024 indoor season off to a solid start, posting numerous new program top 10 times, MPSF leading marks and a school record at the Spokane Indoor Challenge over the weekend.
 
The Rainbow Wahine posted 13 new marks on the program's indoor top 10 lists while finishing the weekend with five MPSF-leading marks with four others in second place in the conference.
 
Additionally, Alyssa Mae Antolin ran a 39.50 in the 300m, marking the best recorded time ever by a Rainbow Wahine runner in the event. It's the fourth different event – indoor or outdoor – that Antolin now owns the school record in.
 
Track Athlete of the Meet: Isabella Kneeshaw
 
The freshman had a huge meet in her collegiate debut, posting a pair of individual program top 10 times in addition to another relay top 10. Kneeshaw moved into second all-time on the UH top 10 list in the 200m with a 24.89 on Saturday, a day after running a 7.70 in the 60m to crack the school's top five at the No. 4 spot. The Tualatin, Ore. native also ran a 56.57 in the 400m leg for a distance medley relay team that ran the eighth-fastest time in school history.  
 
Field Athlete of the Meet: Montserrat Montanes i Arbo
 
Montanes i Arbo got her indoor season in the weight throw off to a strong start, finishing second in Saturday's meet with a toss of 16.21m (53-3.325). The senior currently leads the MPSF in the event and is one of just two in the conference with a throw of at least 16.00m, joining teammate Hallee Mohr.
