CORVALLIS, Ore. – The University of Hawai'i track and field team completed the competition this past weekend at the OSU High Performance Meet in Corvallis, Ore. taking home more event wins and other highlights to close out the regular season.
Bringing home another event win was junior sprinter
Alyssa Mae Antolin, who in the 100m dash ran an 11.82 (2.3 wind-aided).
In the triple jump, freshman
Caitlin Simmons leaped her way to second place, with a distance of 38'9.75" (2.5 wind-aided).
The relay teams continued to shine as the 4x100 team comprised of senior
Kristen LaCosse, sophomore
Amy Warrington, junior
Alyssa Mae Antolin, and freshman
Caitlin Simmons snagged second place with a time of 47.41.
The 4x400 team made up of Harding, LaCosse, Warrington and sophomore
Tierra Sydnor also came in second place with a time of 3:56.30.
The Rainbow Wahine gear up for the Big West Championships starting next. The heptathlon and decathlon multi-events take place from May 6th to May 7th, while the rest of the championship events will take place the following weekend from May 13th to May 14th.
