Track and Field Heads to Sacramento for the Hornet Invitational

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's track and field team will travel to Sacramento, Calif. to compete in the Hornet Invitational for the March 15-16 event hosted by Sacramento State University at Hornet Stadium. The site will also be the location for the 2019 NCAA West Preliminary Round in late May.
 
Events will get underway on Friday at 10:00 a.m. PT (7:00 a.m. HT) and on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. PT (6:00 a.m. HT).
 
Last time out, UH hosted the Sunrise Meet #2 – an all-comers meet at the Ching Athletics Complex on campus. At the event, Raion Black won the 100m and 200m, Meg Jackson placed first in the hammer and shot put, while Kristen LaCosse won the long jump and 400m.
 
Following the Hornet Invitational, the Rainbow Wahine will host the Rainbow Relays March 22-23 for their final home meet of the season.
