Track and Field Set for Trip to Boise

HONOLULU - Following a break in action, the University of Hawaiʻi women's track and field team will head to Nampa, Idaho for the Bronco Challenge on Saturday, Feb. 9. The event is hosted by Boise State University at Jacksons Indoor Track - a 200m banked track.

Events will get underway at 9:00 a.m. MT (6:00 a.m. HT). Hawaiʻi is making its first trip to Jacksons Indoor Track since the 2011 indoor season.

For the Rainbow Wahine, it will be the second time competing indoors this season. The 'Bows first action came Jan. 25-26 at the UW Invitational in Seattle with a number of standout performances.

At the UW Invitational, senior Raion Black broke the school record in the 60m in 7.77 with Martina Latting not far behind at 7.79. Calli-Ann Abbott clocked in at 8.73 in the 60m hurdles for the fourth-best time in program history. In the field events, Kristen LaCosse moved into 10th on UH's all-time indoor long jump list with a mark of 5.37m (17'7.5").

Following the Bronco Challenge, UH will travel to Seattle for the MPSF Championships on Feb. 22-23 at the Dempsey Indoor.
