SEATTLE – A number of standout individual performances highlighted day one of action at the MPSF Championships for the University of Hawaiʻi women's track and field team.
"The highlight of the day was a school record in the 60m, one of the many very solid efforts on the day," head coach 
Tim Boyce said. "Calli-Ann (Abbott) had a big day in the pentathlon to get a personal record. We're looking forward to more big things tomorrow."
 
For the second time this season, 
Martina Latting set the school record in the 60m, this time clocking in at 7.67. The Rainbow Wahine also received strong performances in the 60m courtesy of 
Raion Black and 
Kristen LaCosse. Black was just off her personal best at 7.77, while LaCosse crossed the line with a time of 7.81.
 
 
Also on the track, Black nearly broke her personal record in the 200m finish at 25.45. Latting posted her career best at 25.54 in the event to move to fifth on UH's all-time indoor list.
 
Calli-Ann Abbott put together a pentathlon score of 3,363 points, good for the sixth-best score in program history of the event.
 
 
In the pole vault, 
Krista Rados set a new career best by clearing the bar set at 3.54m, while Jada also set a personal best in the weight throw with a mark of 14.05m.
 
 
The Rainbow Wahine will wrap up action at the MPSF Championships on Saturday.
