Loker Stadium and Cromwell Field in the Trojan Invitational, registering nine Big West Conference qualifications in seven events.Leading the pack for UH, Harbor City, Calif. junior
Montana Martinez was the event winner in the 3,000m steeplechase, logging a time of 11:13.72 as the highest of the Rainbow Wahine finishers.
It was a solid weekend for the distance runners, as Perth, Australia senior
Louise Mulvey recorded a fourth-place finish in the 800m with a time of 2:12.32, while first-year Tualatin, Ore. junior
Alli Cross was fifth in the 3,000m with a time of 10:03.03.
Chino Hills, Calif. senior
Robyn Brown led the hurdlers with a second-place finish in the 400m hurdles, putting in a career-best time of 62:31. Langley, Canada senior
Jade Vaughan was also near the top of the order, finishing fourth in 63:18.

Pacing the throwers, Wai'anae, O'ahu junior
Felicianna Vazquez set a new personal best in the process of earning second in the javelin with a distance of 145-09 (44.42m), just ahead of
Karen Bulger in third, making her official UH debut with a mark of 144-00 (43.89m).

The throwers had a strong showing in L.A., with Kapolei, O'ahu senior
Charlinda Ioane throwing 46-08.75 (14.24m) in the shot put to finish third, while Burlingame, Calif. junior
Sabrina Mendoza was eighth at 43-03.25 (13.19m).

Alex Porlier Langlois was a top-tier finisher in the hammer throw, setting a new career mark of 170-04 (51.93m), long enough for fifth on the all-time UH top 10 list. Porlier Langlois also topped the Rainbow Wahine in the discus, coming in sixth with a mark of 167-10 (51.17m), just 10 feet further than Ioane, who came in eighth at 157.10 (48.11m).

The highest of the jumps finishers, 'Ewa Beach, O'ahu sophomore
Sha'tres Ah Nee finished sixth after reaching a height of 5-01.00 (1.55m), while
Raion Matautia represented the sprinters with an eighth-place 100m finish in 12.69 seconds.

The Rainbow Wahine closed out the day with the 4x400m relay, as a squad of Brown, Vaughan,
Courtney Andre' and Mulvey came in fourth in a combined time of 3:56.27.

After posting the finish in the relay, the Rainbow Wahine loaded up quickly and shot across town to share in the spirit of the Hawai'i 'Ohana, cheering on the women's basketball team at Pauley Arena during their NCAA Basketball Tournament first-round game against UCLA.

The Rainbow Wahine will remain on the mainland during spring break, and will be joined by vaulters
Amber Kozaki and
Tiziana Ruiz Dominguez at next weekend's Aztec Invitational, March 25-26, at San Diego State's Sports Deck.
