RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Robyn Larkan broke a program record and a host of others posted school top 10 marks and event wins on a big day for the Hawai'i track and field team at the UCR Spring Classic Saturday.
Larkan set the UH 100m hurdles program record with a time of 13.85 to secure the event win. She broke the 18-year old school record previously held by Thalia Amanakis, who ran 13.95 in 2008.
Lilian Turban continued to put up impressive performances in multiple events, earning event wins in both the high jump and javelin. Turban cleared 1.79m (5-10.5) in her signature event, finishing as the only competitor to clear each of the final three heights. She also took home the win in the javelin, posting a personal best mark of 48.12m (157-10) to move into fourth all-time at UH.
Rose Forshaw and
Maya Holman made it three Rainbow Wahine in the top four of the javelin, with Forshaw throwing 41.66m (136-8) to come in third and Holman 41.43m (135-11) to place fourth. The UH throwers also delivered a 2-3 finish in the discus, with
Samaria Vital leading the way at 49.50m (162-5) and Forshaw posting another top three finish with a toss of 47.87m (157-0) to crack the Hawai'i all-time top 10, moving into ninth.
Ava Enriquez and
Lindsey Koch started off the day by sharing the event win in the pole vault. Each cleared 3.65m (11-11.75) without a miss in their series before coming up short at 3.80m to tie for first.
Tara Wyllie turned in a productive day, claiming the event win in the triple jump with a mark of 12.71m (41-8.5) while also turning in a runner-up finish to Larkan in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.29.

Amelie Fairclough and
Kristin Cook teamed up to move up to sixth all-time at UH in the 4x100m relay in 46.29 while the UH distance crew swept the top three spots in the 800m led by
Izzy Gorton (2:11.94),
Ruby Brook (2:12.63) and
Lucy Milliner (2:13.74).
The Rainbow Wahine will return home to get ready for a split-squad weekend at the Mike Fanelli Classic and Stanford Invitational, Apr. 3-4 in the Bay Area.
