HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i baseball team got off to a rocky start to open the 2015 season, falling 12-0 to No. 15 Oregon on Friday night before a sold-out crowd at Les Murakami Stadium.

Rainbow Warrior starter Tyler Brashears (0-1) was handed the loss after allowing four earned runs on six hits in five and one-third innings of work.

Duck starter Cole Irvin tossed four scoreless innings with Conor Harber (1-0) picking up the win in five innings of scoreless relief.

Kaeo Aliviado had one hit and was the only UH batter to reach second base. Stephen Ventimilia, Eric Ramirez, and Alan Baldwin also recorded hits on the night for the 'Bows (0-1).

Oregon (1-0), already up three runs, put seven on the board in the sixth inning to win going away. Mitchell Tolman (2-4, 1 R) and Brandon Cuddy (3-5, 4 R, 1 RBI) opened the inning with a double and a triple, respectively, to help the Ducks to the big inning.

The 'Bows and Ducks square off for game two of the series on Saturday at 1:05 p.m.
