Banana Ball Coming To UH’s Les Murakami Stadium This Spring

HONOLULU – Banana Ball is officially making its debut in the islands in 2027, with the University of Hawaiʻi's Les Murakami Stadium hosting a pair of games, April 30 and May 1.

Following the live selection show broadcast on ESPN2, Honolulu was officially revealed as a host city for the 2027 tour with the Party Animals and Loco Beach Coconuts playing a two-game series at the iconic Les Murakami Stadium. Fans will have the opportunity to witness the fast-paced, entertainment-first style of baseball that has exploded in popularity, regularly selling out major football stadiums across the nation.

"We are incredibly excited to bring the unique, high-energy experience of Banana Ball to Les Murakami Stadium," said UH Athletics Director Matt Elliott. "This is a fantastic opportunity for our community to witness this wildly popular event right here in Hawaiʻi and showcase our iconic ballpark. Welcoming premier entertainment of this caliber directly reflects the ongoing standard of excellence we strive to cultivate here in Mānoa."

The series will feature a couple of local connections, headlined by Coconuts coach Shane Victorino. A Maui native and two-time World Series champion, Victorino returns to Hawai'i to lead the squad. In addition, former Rainbow Warrior pitcher Andy Archer is a member of the Coconuts, marking an exciting homecoming to Les Murakami Stadium for the former UH standout who suited up for the 'Bows in 2022.

Tickets are sold and distributed via a ticket lottery at BananaBall.com. The Lottery List opened immediately following the selection show and will remain open until October 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET. Joining the Lottery List is the best way to secure a chance to purchase tickets and helps build excitement for the city's upcoming games.

Les Murakami Stadium is the premier venue for collegiate baseball in Hawaiʻi. The venue seats 4,312 and is named after the legendary UH baseball coach, who led the Rainbow Warriors program for 30 seasons and built it into a national power.

Kaupapa Inc., a Maui-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to Native Hawaiian sustainability, community resilience, and sports and regenerative tourism partnerships, helped bring Banana Ball to the islands, working closely with the appropriate State of Hawaiʻi agencies and in partnership with the University of Hawaiʻi.

"Banana Ball is really about family fun, and bringing people together, and those are values we live by every day," said Lahela Aiwohi, interim lead for Kaupapa. "Hosting these games at Les Murakami Stadium gives our keiki and ʻohana across Hawaiʻi the chance to experience something truly special. And having Shane, a good friend and Maui native, bring his team home to play in front of his own people makes it even sweeter. We can't wait to welcome the Loco Beach Coconuts and the Party Animals to Hawai'i."
