Sharla Kliebenstein's three-run home run in the first inning and

The 'Bows jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
Jessica Iwata and Alex Aguirre both drew one-out walks to start the rally.

In the second inning, Hawai`i tacked on another run on an RBI single by Iwata that drove in
Dara Pagaduan—who had walked to start the inning—from second.
Iwata led the fourth inning with an opposite-field rip down the first baseline for a triple. But, on the following at-bat, Alex Aguirre hit a fly to right and the Miami rightfielder, Kathryn Russette, who made the catch and gunned out Iwata at the plate for the double play.
In the top of the fifth, the Redhawks got two runners on base to start the inning. Kirstie Fehrenbach and Jenna McGiveny started things with a single and a walk respectively. But Parnaby settled down to get two infield pop-ups and a ground out to second to thwart the rally.

The Redhawks' Paige Myers suffered the loss, dropping her record to 1-3 on the year. She gave up all five runs on two hits with four walks and a strike out. Reliever Katie Osburn came in to get all three outs in the second inning and closed the game, throwing 5.0 innings overall.
