Live Results

SEATTLE – The University of Hawai'i women's track and field team competed against some of the top collegiate and professional competition on the second day of the University of Washington Invitational Saturday at Dempsey Indoor.

All 18 members of UH's travelling contingent competed on Saturday. Two weeks after winning the UW Indoor Preview, Sarah Saddleton tied for fifth in the high jump with a mark of 5-6 (1.68m). Sophomore Samantha Balentine, who one day earlier placed 10th in the pentathlon, finished in a seven-way tie for eighth at 5-4.25 (1.63m).

Pole vaulter Mallory Ramsey finished in 13th place, clearing the bar at 11-7.75 (3.55m), a new indoor personal best. Senior Madara Apine placed eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 37-3.25 (11.36m).

In the shot put competition, TeRina Keenan finished in 14th (43-2.5/13.17m) while Careena Onosai was 19th at 41-7 (12.67m).

On the track, freshman Ashley Satterwhite competed in both the 60-meter and 200-meter events, the latter of which bested her performance two weeks ago on the very same track with a time of 25.96 seconds. That mark ranks No. 2 all-time in school history.

During the two-day competition, UH had five individuals or relay teams place in the Top 10 of their respective events.

The Rainbow Wahine will next host the Dr. Donnis Thompson Memorial next Saturday at the Clarence T.C. Ching Field.
