SAN JOSE, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team (6-11, 0-4 WAC) continues its five-game road swing this Saturday Jan. 22 at San Jose State (0-15, 0-3 WAC) at 7:00 p.m. Hawai'i fell in its first two WAC road games last week at Idaho and Boise State. The 'Bows hope to bounce back against the Spartans to end a five game losing streak.
The Rainbow Wahine also look to snap a 14-game WAC road slide. Last season, the 'Bows went 0-8 at their mainland foes arenas. UH's last road conference win was a 63-61 game at Utah State on Jan. 30.
Hawai'i is led by freshman forward,
Kamilah Jackson, who is averaging an impressive double-double overall with 13.8 points per game and 13.2 rebounds per game. Nationally, Jackson is second best in NCAA DI rebounds this year with 211 total boards (102 offensive and 109 defensive). She is also ranked 11th with nine double-doubles and 66th in field goal percentage.
Senior
Keisha Kanekoa is also having a solid season. She is second on the team with 12.2 points per game and leads UH with 58 assists, 27 steals, and free-throw percentage (.754). Senior
Megan Tinnin is third on the squad, averaging 9.5 points per game. She also leads UH with 32 3-pointers made and has helped to crash the boards contributing 4.0 rebounds per game, while freshman
Shawna-Lei Kuehu hit a career-high 18 points in UH's most recent game at Boise State. Kuehu, who has started all 17 games, currently is averaging 8.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists in 28.9 minutes per game.

Coaches: Hawai'i head coach Dana Takahara-Dias is in her second season at UH (16-31). San Jose State head coach, Pam DeCosta is in her third season at SJSU with an 11-80 record and overall has a 56-145 record in seven seasons.
Series Information: Hawai'i holds a 40-13 advantave over San Jose State. Last season the two teams split their two games. UH defeated the Spartans in Honolulu, 63-49 (Jan. 27), but the 'Bows dropped their game in San Jose, 61-68 (Feb. 17).
