Rainbows Fall to Vulcans 7-5 in a Seven-Inning Affair

HILO -- The University of Hawai`i Rainbow baseball team (7-15) fell to the UH-Hilo Vulcans (7-25-1) in seven innings at the Francis Wong Stadium. Ricky Bauer picked up the loss while Hilo's Ryan Miyahira got the win.

Brent Cook led the way for Hawai`i, going 2-for-2 with an RBI while Grady Symonds went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run scored. Jason Carlson added a 2-for-4 performance with two runs scored while pitcher Aaron Pribble went 3.1 innings, giving up just one run with three strikeouts.

The 'Bows jumped out to a 4-0 lead after a three-run second inning and a one-run third inning. But the Vulcans came back, scoring six runs in the bottom of the third to lead them to the 7-5 victory.
