2001: Witt enjoyed the best rookie season by a Wahine pitcher since former All-American Brooke Wilkins won 29 games in 1994…led Wahine in wins (22), appearances (34), complete games (26), shutouts (10), innings (202.1) and strikeouts (168)…won WAC Pitcher of the Week three times (2/5, 2/12 and 4/30)…first collegiate outing was a one-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts against Tennessee (2/2)…did not allow a run during her first four appearances, three of which were complete game shutouts…tossed a perfect game against Winthrop, striking-out five in a five inning contest (3/7)…led WAC in wins and was third in ERA (1.26) and strikeouts (165).

Australian Junior National Team: A member of the Australian Junior National Team…captain of New South Wales State Under-19 team last year…led NSW to a pair of national titles…went 3-2, with 3 saves, a 2.02 ERA, and 48 strikeouts in 41.7 innings for NSW…played with current Wahine teammates Kate Judd and Stacey Porter on the Australian Under-19 National Team…the third Australian native to pitch for the Wahine…fellow Aussies Brooke Wilkins and Kelly Gentle enjoyed All-American careers in leading the Wahine to four NCAA Tournament appearances…also recruited by New Mexico and Chicago.
