Biography

2010 (Senior): Appeared in 19 sets in 10 matches…used primarily as a defensive specialist…had one kill and one block solo against UCLA (Feb. 4).
 
2009 (Junior): Competed in 40 sets and started seven of 16 matches…averaged 2.62 kills, 1.50 digs, and 0.75 blocks per set…also hit for .219 percentage and had seven service aces…recorded a career-high 30 kills and 12 digs against USC (Apr. 18) which earned him MPSF Player of the Week honors…sixth on the team with 105 kills… added 60 digs and 30 blocks…recorded double-digit kills in four matches and double-digit digs in two…tallied 13 kills against Pacific (Apr. 10 & 11) and USC (Apr. 17)…also had 10 digs against Pacific (Apr. 10) and season-high six blocks against the Tigers the next night (Apr. 11).

Prior To UH: Attended Long Beach City College…team won conference championship in 2006…earned first-team all-conference honors under coach Randy Totorp.
 
Prep: A 2005 graduate of Gabrielino High School in California…lettered two years in basketball…a member of the 2003-2004 conference championship team…also lettered three years in volleyball…named to the first-team all-league.
 
Personal: Born in Taipei, Taiwan…plans to major in economics…has one brother…parents are Robert and Mei-Hwa Strotman of San Gabriel, Calif.
