2004 (Junior): Saw action in 11 games... started two...recorded a career-high three tackles three times during the season...managed two tackles-for-loss (-7) against Tulsa (Oct. 2)... blocked a go-ahead PAT attempt with 23 seconds left in the game against Florida Atlantic (Sept. 4).

2003 (Sophomore): Earned his first letter in football...played in 11 games, primarily on special teams...blocked a game-tying field goal attempt against Fresno State (Oct. 11)...amassed two tackles against UTEP (Oct. 25)...recorded first career sack (-12) and a forced fumble against Army (Nov.22).

2001-02 (Freshman): Earned two letters as a member of the Rainbow Warrior basketball team...did not play football...averaged 5.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game during his career...started seven games as a sophomore and scored in double figures 11 times...named to the 2002 Rainbow Classic all-tournament team.

Prep: A 2001 graduate of Central Park Christian High School in Birmingham, Ala...did not play football...averaged 17.5 points and 13.1 rebounds per game as a basketball senior...named to the NACA All-Tournament team and was MVP of the Harvest Christian Classic.

Personal: Born in Lagos, Nigeria...parents are Elizabeth Mogaha of Delta, Nigeria, and the late Robert Akpan of Akwa-Ibom, Nigeria.
