Jonathan Sladky, M.D.
Dr. Sladky is a board certified Sports Medicine Specialist who has served as the Head Team Physician for UHM Athletics since January of 2019. As a fellowship-trained Sports Medicine physician, Dr. Sladky values a holistic approach to healthcare, including a recognition of the mind-body connection and the importance of mental health support and care. Improving recognition of, and access to, mental healthcare has been one of his top priorities since he was hired as the UHM Head Team Physician.
Dr. Sladky completed his undergraduate education at The College of William and Mary, his medical school at The Ohio State University, and his Pediatrics residency at Emory University before moving to Oahu in 2016 to complete his fellowship in Sports Medicine through the University of Hawai’i.
As the Head Team Physician, he oversees medical care for all UHM student-athletes, and is part of a multidisciplinary care team which supports the mission and practices of the Rainbow Wellness program. Dr. Sladky works in conjunction with our UHM therapy teams to aid with any necessary referrals. |

Kelly Hee, LCSW, CEDS
Kelly Hee is the lead therapist with Rainbow Wellness and has been a part of UHM Athletics since the Fall of 2020. Kelly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both California and Hawaii and is also a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) through the International Academy of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).
Kelly was a Division 1 athlete who played soccer for the University of California, Santa Barbara. After her athletic career, she pursued a Master’s of Social Work at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
Kelly has worked in the field of mental health for over a decade, primarily focusing on eating disorders, athletes, exercise habits, and the transition from sport. She has worked with athletes at all levels including Olympic, professional, semi-professional, collegiate, and high school athletes. Kelly focuses on overall wellbeing, while also helping athletes to improve their sports performance. She wholeheartedly believes that the human comes first and that an athlete may be only as good as their mental health. |

Diane Kay, M.Ed, M.S., MFT-I
Diane earned a B.A. in Communications from Brigham Young University, an M.Ed. in Higher Education Student Development from the University of Illinois, and an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Diane worked in student development at the collegiate level. She spent time working in multicultural student services, student leadership, and women’s services. Her mission was to help students have the best college experience possible, and she has carried that spirit into her work with Hawai’i student-athletes. She understands that early adulthood can be a transformative period and is trained to help student-athletes work through stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relationship issues, and/or other issues. She believes that no topic is off limits in therapy.
Diane is a trauma-informed therapist who provides a systemic approach to therapy. This means that, while she honors the individual experience, she also recognizes that we all belong to systems (family, team, culture, etc.) that influence us and play a role in our development and wellbeing. In a nutshell, she believes that humans need one another, and this is not a weakness. She integrates aspects of emotionally-focused therapy, various cognitive therapies, person-centered therapy, internal family systems, and feminist therapy. |

James Robert (JR) Bunda, MHC, M.A., NCC, CADS
JR Bunda earned his M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine.
Graduating from 'Iolani School, JR played Division I baseball at the University of Portland (2009-2014), as well as professional baseball both internationally and in the US. Most notably, JR represented Team Philippines in the 2016 World Baseball Classic qualifiers.
JR embraces an experiential and character-based approach to therapy. As a therapist, JR has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues as well as specializing in athletic mental healthcare. He truly believes that the overall health and wellbeing of an athlete is the success of an athlete. |

Tori Schwab, LSW
Tori earned her Master's in Social Work from the University of Kentucky.
With a passion for both mental health and athletic performance, Tori is a dedicated therapist who specializes in supporting college athletes. Tori is passionate about helping athletes navigate the mental demands of high-level competition, manage performance anxiety, recover from injuries, and maintain a healthy balance between their academic, social, and athletic responsibilities.
She is committed to fostering resilience, mental flexibility, and overall well-being in her clients. Whether addressing issues of motivation, confidence, or dealing with the pressures of competition, Tori creates a safe and supportive environment for athletes to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges.
Tori utilizes evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR, mindfulness techniques, and stress management strategies, to empower athletes to achieve their personal and professional goals. |

Heather Visintin, MSW
Heather earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado in Boulder and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa.
Heather has 16 years of experience working within the mental health field in Hawai'i, Virginia, and Japan. Over six of these years have been spent assisting high performing military Special Operations teams and their families overcome mental health obstacles including anxiety, injuries, and trauma. Her areas of practice include crisis management, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and both family/social relationship stressors.
Heather is dedicated to the belief that mental health is the cornerstone of both personal well-being and peak performance outcomes. She is passionate about fostering mental resilience and emotional balance to enable client success. |
