Biography

2006 (Junior): Went 11-2 in 15 starts on the mound...finished with a 2.30 ERA and one save...had 123 strikeouts in 109.2 innings pitched.

2005 (Sophomore): Appeared in a team-high 21 games, starting two…led the team with four saves…finished with 75 strikeouts and just 15 walks in 66.1 innings pitched…carried a 5-3 record…allowed just one hit with four strikeouts in 2.1 innings to get the win vs. Pacific (2/17)…pitched three perfect innings to earn a save vs. Washington State (2/25)…picked up his second win vs. Florida State (3/11), pitching 6.2 innings, giving up just one run while striking out 10…pitched 8.0 innings with 11 strikeouts to beat Louisiana Tech (3/18)…pitched two perfect innings with five strikeouts to get a save vs. Rice (4/15)…got another save at Rice (5/20), pitching 2.1 perfect innings with four strikeouts.

2004 (Freshman): Appeared in 18 games, starting seven...had a 2-1 record in 46.1 innings, carrying a 4.86 ERA and 30 strikeouts...gave up just one run on two hits with four strikeouts in 3.0 innings in collegiate debut vs. Texas (1/30)...got first win vs. HPU (2/17).

Prep: A 2003 graduate of Valley View High School in Moreno Valley, Calif...lettered four years in baseball...earned All-American honors during his senior year...was a two-time all-state honoree...also named all-CIF twice...four-time first-team all-league...four-time varsity MVP.

Personal: Born in Torrance, Calif...was also recruited by Arizona State, Oklahoma State and Long Beach State...favorites include shortstop Alex Rodriguez, the movie "Pulp Fiction," the TV show "Friends," and actress Shannon Elizabeth.
