Biography
2002: Led the staff in virtually ever category including wins (18), ERA (1.97), starts (33), complete-games (22), innings (192.1), strikeouts (78), and opponent's batting average (.235)...produced career-highs in strikeouts (9) and innings pitched (10) against Southern Mississippi (March 2)...posted her best month in March making 16 appearances (15 starts) and going 10-5 on the hill with a 2.18 ERA...in March, she tossed 13 complete-games in 102.2 innings and limited opponents to a .243 batting average...she also had a good season at the plate batting .242 overall with six doubles and five home runs while driving in 21...her biggest day at the plate was March 9 going 2-for-4 with three RBI against Loyola Marymount, then turning around in the second game against New Mexico State and going 2-for-2, hitting home runs in each of those contests.
2001: Started the season as a pitcher, but then became one of the team's outfielders as the season progressed...batted .292 with nine RBI and two home runs...had multiple-hit games against No. 15 Fresno State (2-for-3, RBI) and San Jose State (2-for-4, RBI)...went 2-1 as a pitcher with a 4.12 ERA.
2000: Played through nagging knee injury throughout the season to have a solid rookie campaign...led team in appearances (25), games finished (9), and relief appearances (9)...was second in wins (8-8), ERA (3.62), starts (16), complete-games (9), shutouts (1), innings (114.1), and opponent batting average (.271)...batted .143, with six hits in 42 at-bats...had an outstanding collegiate debut against Texas Tech (Feb. 11), pitching a complete game, one-hit, shutout with three strikeouts...earned the victory in relief against No. 19 Texas (Feb. 13), going 3.1 shutout innings...beat Boston College (March 3), going 6.2 innings, while allowing just one earned run...provided 3.2 innings of shutout relief, with two strikeouts against No. 5 LSU (March 4) in the NFCA Leadoff Classic...posted a complete-game win against Harvard (March 4), spacing four hits, while allowing two runs...had consecutive losses to No. 9 Cal State Fullerton (March 15) and No. 12 Oregon State (March 17) despite strong performances...3-2 loss to Fullerton came despite a complete game effort...lost to the Beavers, striking out four in the complete game, 3-0 loss...won at San Diego (March 31), tossing a complete-game, two-hitter to win 4-1...had season-high six strikeouts in complete game loss at Portland State (April 22)...batted 1-for-2, with a double and an RBI against Hawai`i-Hilo (April 9)...committed three errors in 53 fielding chances.
