Biography

2001: Played in 40 games, starting 37 at catcher and first base…hit .253 with five doubles and a .324 on base percentage…had seven multiple-hit games and one multiple-RBI contest…went 2-for-3 against Florida Atlantic (Feb.3), Bethune-Cookman (Feb.7) and at No. 15 Fresno State (Apr. 13)…had a .991 fielding percentage, posted just two errors on 212 total chances.

2000: Appeared in 30 contests at first base and designated player, starting 16…hit .200, with 11 hits, two homers and five RBI in 55 at-bats…had a .327 slugging percentage…homered against Hawai‘i-Hilo (Apr. 9) and Portland State (Apr. 22)…had 2-for-3 performances against Loyola Marymount (Apr. 2) and No. 17 Long Beach State (Apr. 4)…had best offensive output at Portland State (Apr. 22), when she had a grandslam in Hawai‘i’s loss to the Vikings…was second on team in defensive putouts, with 122…had a .977 fielding percentage, with three errors in 132 total chances.

1999: Played in 36 games, started 29…hit .328 in 64 at bats during the regular season to earn NCAA All-West Region first team designated player honors…a UH Scholar-Athlete…posted a .375 slugging percentage and a .394 on-base average entering the playoffs…ended the season batting .282, with 11 RBI, while maintaining a spotless 1.000 fielding percentage in 25 chances…lone hit in the WAC Tourney was a game-winning, bases-loaded single in the bottom of the seventh inning against UNLV (May 13)…batted .364 in the Paradise Classic to earn All-Tournament as a designated player…had five multi-hit and two multiple-RBI games…went 2-for-3, RBI in first college game (Feb. 11, versus Loyola Marymount)…batted 2-for-3, with a pair of doubles against Ohio State (Feb. 12)…hit .600 (3-for-5) in Hawai‘i’s regular season-ending series at Tulsa (Apr. 30-May 1)…hit .385 (10-for-26), with five RBI, a .423 slugging percentage and a .467 on-base average in WAC play.

Prep: A 1998 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School in San Diego, Calif...lettered four years in softball and one in volleyball...a three-time All-Palomar League selection in softball...also named all-California Interscholastic Federation and All-Palomar League in volleyball as a freshman...led her Southern California Lightning Softball Club team to a third-place finish at the 1996 nationals in the 18-and-under gold division…also recruited by San Diego State, University of San Diego, and Hawai‘i-Hilo.
