Biography

2012 (Senior): Started 25 matches at middle blocker… appeared in all 27 matches and played in 94 sets…averaged 0.91 kills and 0.91 blocks per set…hit .389 on the year…season-high seven kills against UC Irvine (Feb. 10), Cal State Northridge (March 24) and Long Beach State (March 31)….did not commit an error against the Anteaters in 10 attempt for a .700 hitting percentage…career-high eight blocks at Pepperdine (Jan. 21) and Grand Canyon (Jan. 28)…did not commit a hitting error in 16 of 27 matches…went one stretch of eight consecutive matches without a hitting error (28-0-51)…had nine matches with at least five blocks...named to MPSF all-academic team.
 
2011 (Junior): Started 16 matches at middle blocker…appeared in 22 matches and 69 sets…averaged 1.00 kills and 0.83 blocks per set and hit .348…in MPSF matches, averaged 0.92 blocks per set…season-high 10 kills on .571 hitting in four-set win over Pacific (March 11)…career-high seven blocks the following night against UOP…three block solos at UCLA (Feb. 17)…had six kills with no errors in 11 attempts at UC Irvine (Feb. 21).

2010 (Sophomore): Appeared in eight sets in six matches as a backup middle blocker…had five kills in seven attempts against Hope International (Feb. 18)…also had three digs and two blocks in that match.

2009 (Freshman): Competed in 48 sets and started 11 of 18 matches…led the team in kill percentage (.375)…averaged 1.35 kills and 0.81 blocks per set…tallied 65 kills and 39 blocks…best performance was against UC Santa Barbara (Mar. 5) when he tallied 12 kills in 18 attempts with no errors and three blocks…season-high six blocks against Stanford (Feb. 26)…also had seven kills with no errors in 11 attempts in the same match against the Cardinal…duplicated that feat against NJIT (Mar. 21)…only service ace was against UCLA (Apr. 2).

2008: Redshirted.

Prep: A 2007 graduate of Woodrow Wilson Classical High School Long Beach, Calif...lettered four years in volleyball and one year in men's basketball...was in the honors program...member of the Boy Scout Troop 81.

Personal: Born in Long Beach, Calif...majoring in civil engineering...has two siblings...parents are Mike and Cindy Lofy of Lakewood, Calif.
