Biography

2009 (Senior): Made 14 appearances with 12 starts…finished 3-3 with a 7.26 ERA in 53.1 innings pitched…allowed no runs on one hit in 4.0 innings in his first start of the season at Minnesota (Mar. 1)…struck out five with no runs on two hits in 4.0 innings vs. Mississippi State (Mar. 7)…pitched 5.0 innings with no earned runs vs. Loyola Marymount (Mar. 14)…got the win vs. Sacramento State (Apr. 19), allowing two runs in 6.0 innings…picked up a win in relief at New Mexico State (Apr. 25), pitching 2.1 scoreless innings…allowed four runs in 6.2 innings vs. Fresno State (May 23) in the WAC Tournament.
 
2008 (Junior): Made 12 starts, mainly as the staff ace…went 7-3 with a 3.27 ERA and 63 strikeouts in 82.2 innings pitched…earned first team all-WAC honors…was 5-1 with a 3.99 ERA in WAC play…started out the season by pitching 8.0 shutout innings to get the win over UH-Hilo (Feb. 16)…allowed two unearned runs in 6.2 innings to get the victory over San Francisco (Feb. 23)…took the loss despite giving up just one earned run in 6.1 innings against Arizona State (Feb. 29)…outdueled Tanner Scheppers in a complete-game shutout over Fresno State (March 20), allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out 10…earned Statstud.com National Player of the Day honors (March 20)…allowed just one run while striking out seven in 8.0 innings vs. New Mexico State (Apr. 10)…got the win over Sacramento State (May 2), allowing two runs with five strikeouts in 5.0 innings.
