2009 (Sophomore): Made a team-high 19 appearances, all in relief…held a record of 5-3 with four saves and a 4.17 ERA in 45.1 innings, striking out 48…drafted in the 20th round of the Major League Baseball draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates…earned WAC Pitcher of the Week honors (Mar. 2)…didn’t allow an earned run in his first five outings, running a streak of 16.0 innings without an earned run to start the season…struck out three while allowing an unearned run on no hits in 3.0 innings vs. UC Irvine (Feb. 21)…struck out five in 3.1 scoreless innings to get the save at Minnesota (Feb. 26)…pitched 4.0 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit with four strikeouts at Minnesota (Mar. 1)…got the win vs. Mississippi State (Mar. 6), pitching 2.0 scoreless innings with three strikeouts…struck out two with one unearned run in 1.2 innings vs. Loyola Marymount (Mar. 12)…got the win vs. Loyola Marymount (Mar. 15), allowing two runs in 2.2 innings…picked up his third win vs. Washington (Mar. 20), allowing one run in 1.2 innings…got another win vs. Coastal Carolina (Mar. 27), pitching 2.2 scoreless innings…pitched a perfect inning vs. San Jose State (Apr. 4) to get the save…got his fifth win vs. San Jose State (Apr. 5), pitching 4.2 scoreless innings…got a save vs. Sacramento State (Apr. 17) despite allowing two runs in 1.0 innings…struck out five in 2.2 innings to get his fourth save of the year at New Mexico State (Apr. 24).
