• As a senior, posted 87 tackles, including 12 for loss, four forced fumbles, two interceptions, 11 pass breakups and scored two defensive touchdowns.
• Selected as the District 5-5A defensive MVP.
• Also named the Dallas Morning News’ Defensive Player of the Year.
• Defensive MVP of the 5A Division I state championship game in which he helped lead Denton Ryan to the title.
• In that game, tallied six tackles, three pass breakups, a blocked PAT, interception, and forced and recovered a fumble.
• As a junior, helped Denton Ryan to a 15-1 record and state runner-up finish.
• Recorded 107 total tackles, including 24 for loss, 10 pass breakups, three sacks, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery as a junior.
• In track and field, competed in the 110-hurdles, 300-hurdles, long jump and triple jump.
