Prep: A 2014 graduate of La Costa Canyon High School in Carlsbad, Calif…earned three letters in volleyball with both La Costa Canyon and El Camino High School…one of 10 players selected as an AVCA High School Senior first team All-American…helped La Costa Canyon to the CIF Open Division Championship during his senior year…named the North County Conference’s Player of the Year in 2014 and led the San Diego Section with 1,121 assists which ranked fifth nationally…at El Camino, earned all-CIF second team and first-team all-Avocado League in 2013…played one year with Coast Volleyball Club…also played for Wave Volleyball Club, where he led the team to the silver medal at Junior Olympics, and for Seaside Volleyball Club.
 
Personal: Born in Carlsbad, Calif…nickname is “Koa”…intends to major in sociology…has two brothers, Keanu and Wailea, and two sisters, Laine and Keila…parents are Dan and Laine Pukahi of Carlsbad, Calif.
