Biography

2011-12 (Freshman): Swam one event in the MPSF Championships (Feb. 15) and set a personal best in the 200 freestyle (1:46.77)…also saw action in the Arena Invitational (Nov. 17) and set personal bests in the 50 freestyle (20.94) and in the 100 freestyle (46.55).

Prep: A 2011 graduate of Nevada Union high school in Grass Valley, Calif…earned four letters in swimming and three in water polo…was a three-time all-American…a 10-year member of Penguin Swim Team…made the “Top 10 Time” seven times in Sierra Nevada and once in the nation.

Personal: Born in Mountain View, Calif…parents are Lois and Tom Herbert of Nevada City, Calif…has one younger brother…intends to major in physics.
