2013-14 (Senior): Competed in the MPSF championships, finishing 9th and 8th in the 200 IM and 100 BR...finished second in the 200 BR (2:11.28) against Purdue (1/4)...had his best performances at the Arena Invitational (11/21), placing third in the 200 IM (1:51.10), 100 BR (55.73), and 200 BR (2:00.25)events...placed in the 200 BR versus Minnesota (2:06.77).

2012-13 (Junior): Won the 200 BR (1:58.63) at the MPSF championships (2/23)...finished third in the 200 medley relay (1:34.56) and second in the 100 BR (57.85), 200 BR (2:05.84), and 400 medley relay (3:27.84) against BYU (10/5)...had a silver finish in the 200 BR (2:06.85) at Arizona (10/19) as well as at the Arena Invitational (1:58.85).

2011-12 (Sophomore): Saw limited action.

Prior to UH: Attended Cerritos College in Norwalk, Calif. for two years...swam and played water polo there in the South Coast Conference...named swimming and water polo MVP and Athlete of the Year in 2011.

Prep: A 2009 graduate of Cerritos High School in Cerritos, Calif...lettered four years in water polo, tennis, track, and football...helped lead water polo team to three CIF Championships (2006-08)...named 2009 Athlete of the Year...a nine-year member of Cerritos Aquatic Club.

Personal: Born in Lynwood, Calif...major is sociology...has two sisters...parents are Susan and Carlos Gabayeron of Cerritos, Calif.
