2006-2007 (Junior): Earned NCAA honorable mention All-America honors on the platform and 3M diving events...finished 13th in both events at the NCAA Championship...set  the UH record on the platform (387.00)...took second at the NCAA Zone E Diving Regional on the platform, fifth place on 3M and eighth on the 1M...C-USA champion on the platform along with second-place finishes on 1M and 3M...won the platform at the 2007 Swedish Diving Nationals... placed second on both springboard events at the Trojan Diving Invitational...was second on the 1M and 3M at the Texas Diving InvitationalÂ…won both the 1M and 3M at  the Lincoln Aquatic ShootoutÂ…won the platform at the Hawai‘i Diving Invitational and placed third on both springboard events.

2005-06 (Sophomore): Placed fourth at the NCAA Championship on the platform, gaining All-America status and becoming the highest national finish ever by a UH male diver or swimmer...was honorable mention All-America on the 3-meter at NCAA's...named the CUSA Diver of the Year, winning both the 1-meter and platform, while placing second on the 3-meter...broke the University of Houston pool record on 1-meter (336.35)...won the platform event at the Zone E Diving Regional...placed fourth on both the 1- and 3-meter springboard events at the 2006 Swedish Nationals...current UH record holder on the 3-meter and platform...earned second letter.

2004-05 (Freshman): Joined the squad in the spring...won the Hawai`i Diving Invitational in both the 1-meter (280.45) and 3-meter (480.30)...captured both the 3-meter (572.20) and platform (435.20) at the NIC Championship, while taking second in the 1-meter (301.85)...his marks at the NIC in the 3-meter and platform, rank him second and fourth on the UH all-time lists, respectively...named the team's Diver of the Year...won the 3-meter (612.15) and platform (531.95) while placing third in the 1-meter (311.05) at the 2005 Swedish National Diving Championships...earned first letter.

Prep: A 2003 graduate of Perbrahe Gymnasiet in Jonkoping, Sweden...coached by Bo Sjogren at the Jonkoping SS club team...a seven time Swedish National Champion...earned two bronze medals at the European Youth Championships.

Personal: Born June 4, 1984, in Jonkoping, Sweden...undecided on a major...favorites include athlete Cmitry Sautin, chicken, and the movie Shawshank Redemption...person he would have liked to meet is his mother...has one older sister, Sofia...father is Lars Bergsten of Jonkoping, Sweden.
