2007-08 (Sophomore): Placed second in 200 yard freestyle event (1:44.34) against Arizona State (Sept. 28)...member of team that finished first in 400 Meter freestyle relay event against Arizona State (Sept. 29)...finished second in 200 Meter freestyle event against Arizona State...placed fourth in 100 yard freestyle event (45.00) at the Husky Invitational...member of team that finished second in the 400 yard free relay at the Conference USA Championships...recorded second best time on the team in the 200 free event (1:40.43).

2006-2007 (Freshman): Earned the Mike Sheldt Outstanding Rookie Award for the top newcomer on the team...set records as a freshman in the 100 Free, 44.69 is eighth best in men's history, placed first on team...in the 200 Free, he placed 10th in men's history with a 1:38.40, placed second on team...C-USA champion in the 100 and 200 Free...second on team in 50 Free with a 20.59...member of the C-USA conference champion 400 Medley Relay team.

Prep: A 2006 graduate of Clark High School in San Antonio, Texas...all-state swimmer under coach Tony Plummer...all-region and all-state honorable mention in water polo...was a part of the 400 Free Relay champions at the 2006 Districts...led swimming and water polo teams to title in senior season...belonged to the English and Spanish honor societies.

Personal: Born April 16, 1987, in St. Louis, Mo...plans to major in history...has one older brother and one younger sister...parents are Mary and Mike Higley of San Antonio, Texas.
