2008 (Track): Qualified for the NCAA West Regionals for the first time in the discus...seasonal-best mark of 156-6 at the Steve Scott Invitational (May 4)...placed sixth in the discus (150-11) at the WAC Outdoor Championship...took 15th at the NCAA West Regionals.

2007 (Track): Set personal bests in the shot put (35-7.75) and hammer throw (128-2) events...seasonal best discus mark of 149-7 is sixth best in school history...placed fifth in the discus at the WAC Championship.

Prep: A 2006 graduate of Huntington Beach High School in California...lettered four times in track and field and twice in volleyball and basketball...three-time league champion in track...named to the all-league first team three times, and all-county first team twice...also selected as team most valuable player and team captain...named to the U.S. Army National Athlete of the Year and Orange County Coca-Cola Most Valuable Player...a four-time scholar-athlete...gold seal bearer.

Personal: Born June 3, 1988, in Honolulu, O`ahu...intends to major electrical engineering...has one brother and three sisters...parents are Alana and Pili Faagai of Huntington Beach, Calif.
