Biography

2007 (Track): Set personal bests in the 400-meter and 800-meter events...posted 2:15.53 mark in the 800-meters qualifying at the WAC Outdoor Championship, which ranks ninth all-time in school history...placed seventh in 800-meter finals at WAC Championship...regular member of relays teams...named to academic all-WAC team.

2006 (Cross Country): Competed in all seven meets...season best 5K time of 18:58.9 at the Santa Clara Invitational...placed second at the BYU-Hawai`i Invitational (19:29) and third at the 4K Big Wave Invitational (15:41.5)...named to academic all-WAC team.

2006 (Track): Ran a personal best 2:18.27 in the 800m at CSULA's Twilight Open...member of 4x400 relay team which placed eighth at WAC Outdoor Championship...ran lead leg of distance medley team which placed fifth at WAC Indoor Championship...named to academic all-WAC team.

2005 (Cross Country): Competed in all six meets...finished 11th at the BYU-Hawai'i Invitational (20:22)...had three Top 30 finishes...placed 45th at the WAC Championships (20;23).

2005 (Track): Redshirted during outdoor season...competed during the indoor season...ran a personal-best 1:42.39 in the 600m dash at the Washington Open #3...named to the all-WAC academic team.

2004 (Cross Country): Posted four Top 15 finishes, including third place at HPU Invitational (23:18)...captured Hawai`i's top time at Chaminade Invitational (21:34)...competed at WAC Championships (19:58).

2004 (Track): Finished fourth in 1500m (5:04.46) at UH Sunset Meet 7...competed in 3000m (11:31.49) at UC San Diego Triton Invitational, and 5000m (19:58.51) at Long Beach State Invitational...named Academic All-WAC.

2003 (Cross Country): Participated in WAC Championships (21:08)...posted two Top 15 finishes at the University of San Francisco Invitational (18:44) and UH Coed-Sprint Invitational (11:58).

Prep: A 2003 graduate of Kapa`a High School in Kapa`a, Kauai...event area specialty is middle distance...named cross country MVP 2001-03.

Personal: Born Aug. 18, 1985, in Lihue, Kauai...plans to major in physical therapy...has two younger brothers...parents are Darlene and Alvin Sasil of Kapa`a, Kauai.
