HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's golf program has announced the signing of Purdue Fort Wayne transfer Olivia Jang for the 2026-27 season. A native of Issaquah, Wash., Jang joins the Rainbow Wahine with two years of eligibility remaining.
"Olivia is a great addition to our team," head coach
Julie Brooks said. "She is a seasoned player and I am excited that she chose Hawai'i."
During her playing career at Fort Wayne, Jang was a two-year starter where she earned All-Horizon League honors twice. She posted a career scoring average of 76.49 in 22 tournaments played, including a program-best 76.14 average during the 2024-25 season in which she earned first-team honors and helped the Mastodons to a runner-up team finish at the Horizon League Championship.
Jang holds school records for the most career top-five finishes with eight, most career top-ten finishes with 10, and career scoring average (76.49). During the 2024-25 campaign, Jang finished runner-up three times, including at the Horizon League Championship, where she earned all-tournament honors.
During her 2023-24 freshman season, she set a freshman 54-hole program record with a score of 219 at the Coyote Creek Classic. Her 2025-26 season was cut short due to injury after just two tournaments, which she tied for fourth at the Bucknell Invitational and tied for fifth at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational. She tied the program's all-time low-18 record by shooting a 69 in the final round of the Bucknell Invitational.
Off the course, Jang served as the secretary for the Student-Athlete Leadership Team (SALT) during the 2024-25 academic year and acted as a student-athlete representative for the Purdue Fort Wayne Athletics' DEI committee and worked as a student assistant in the Athletic Media Services Office.
